Theatre ISU to present ‘You Can’t Take It With You’ Oct. 1-2, 7-9

The L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center will host Theatre ISU's 80^th Year Celebration Season beginning with the Viewer's Choice Winner, "You Can’t Take It With You" opening Friday, Oct. 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the Beverly B. Bistline Theatre. 

Theatre has a long and rich tradition at Idaho State University and this year marks their 80^th year on campus.  To celebrate and kick things off, Theatre ISU will revive the 1930’s Pulitzer Prize winning comedy, "You Can’t Take It With You."  First performed on Frazier Hall's stage in 1939, Theatre ISU is taking another crack at this hilarious fan favorite.    

A cast of wonderful eccentrics offers a recipe for true happiness in life – all framed in the context of the Great Depression.  "You Can't Take It With You" is a great reminder that life should be lived to the fullest, and that happiness will always prevail in the end.  If you’ve never seen this play, it’s time to acquaint yourself with this classic American play.  If you’re familiar with the play, we trust you’ll return to visit a cast full of old and dear friends!
