Second annual Nepalese Night celebration set Feb. 16
February 6, 2008
The Idaho State University Nepalese Students Association will present Nepalese Night on Saturday, Feb. 16, at 6 p.m. in the Pond Student Union Building Ballroom.
The celebration will feature 10 different Nepalese style dishes, music and a slide show. Booths will be set up to display various cultural articles, decorations and antiques. Nepalese students will present several cultural performances that include dance, traditional Nepali music and a Nepalese band.
Nepal, a small country in Southeast Asia, is best known as the home to Mt. Everest, as well as the birth place of Buddhism. Nepalese Night is an excellent opportunity for Nepalese students to share their culture with faculty, students and the community.
Tickets for the program are $5 for ISU students, $7 for faculty and staff and $8 for the general public.
