Musical ‘Pippin’ to be performed at ISU
April 8, 2008
Theatre/Dance ISU and the Idaho State University Department of Music are presenting the musical "Pippin” at 7:30 p.m. April 18-19 and 24-26 at the Beverly B. Bistline Thrust Theatre in the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center.
In a time of war and political upheaval, Pippin, son of King Charlemagne, struggles to find his own path in this witty, irreverent and timely voyage of self-discovery. First produced in 1972 with a book by Roger O. Hirson and music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Children of Eden), “Pippin” has remained a classic of American Musical Theatre. With songs like “Magic to Do,” “Corner of the Sky,” “Extraordinary,” and “Spread a Little Sunshine,” “Pippin” is musically rich and thought-provoking.
Seating is limited and tickets are available now at the Performing Arts Center box office, or by phone at 282-3595. Tickets can be ordered ON-LINE at www.isu.edu/tickets Adults $12; Seniors $10; Children ages6-12 $7 and ISU Students w/Bengal card are just $5!
