ISU Oboler Library to hold book sale on April 4-5

March 24, 2008
ISU Marketing and Communications

Eli M. Oboler Library, located on the Idaho State University campus, will have a used book sale in the library’s student lounge, located at 850 S. Ninth. The sale will run for two days, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, April 4, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 5.

The sale will feature thousands of books on a variety of subjects ranging from academic and prevalent topics to popular and literary fiction. Some noteworthy collections include: popular and scholarly books on religion, classic science fiction, and mathematics/computer science materials. The history offerings contain many new items, thanks in part to a generous donation from Dr. Jack Owens.

A majority of book sale items are donated to the library by faculty and other members of the community. The library staff evaluates all donated books and identifies those which should be added to its collections. Those that are not selected to become part of the collections are set aside to be sold. The Library annually adds between one and two thousand volumes to its collections from donated materials. All proceeds from the sale will be used to expand the library’s collection.

Free parking is available in the Holt Arena’s northeast parking lot with shuttle bus service to the library. Cars without parking permits are ticketed in ISU parking lots between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Parking areas near the library are available on Saturday.
