Idaho State University’s College of Technology has just added a new lineup to the Workforce Training program, the E-commerce Institute.

ISU is the first in Idaho to offer e-commerce training. The program is designed to provide in-depth training from online marketing to launching a fully functional e-commerce store.

In 2006, online sales exceeded $100 billion. The e-commerce institute is designed to provide the training needed to successfully do business online for those just starting a business or existing business owners who want to gain exposure by putting their products and services on the web.

This course will cover research and planning, content development, putting the site together and Web site maintenance, among other practical applications and instruction necessary to get a Web site started and keep it running smoothly.

Classes are three afternoons per week for 12 consecutive weeks. The fall session will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 2, and run through Thursday, Nov. 20. The spring session is from Tuesday, Jan. 6 through Thursday, March 26. All classes are from 1 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Class fees are $699.
