Theatre/Dance to present comedy ‘Forever Plaid’ in April
April 6, 2007
Theatre/Dance ISU will present the musical comedy “Forever Plaid” by Stuart Ross at the Beverly B. Bistline Thrust Theatre in the L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. April 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28. This is the final performance of Theatre/Dance ISU’s 2006-07 production season.
The play is described as a charming story about a harmony group from the 1960s, “The Plaids,” that re-emerge and perform the show that never was. It features recognizable tunes from the 1950s and 1960s that are brought to life by the four-man group. The personalities of the group and the situations it gets into provides for some entertaining theatre.
“Forever Plaid” is making its debut across the United States right now with stops in New York and Las Vegas. Theatre/Dance ISU is proud to present its own rendition of this musical comedy.
Tickets are available at the Performing Arts Center Box Office, or by phone at 282-3595. Box Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and an hour before performances. Tickets are available online at www.isu.edu/tickets.
Ticket prices are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, $7 for children ages 6 to 12 and $5 for ISU students with valid Bengal cards.
