Museum sets ‘Winter Fun Free Day’ Feb. 17
February 6, 2007
The Idaho Museum of Natural History is offering another “Wild Winter Fun Family Free Day” on Saturday, Feb. 17. Museum admission will be free all day and a special family activity will take place at 1 p.m.
For this free day, the activity will center on birds of Idaho, in conjunction with the National Audubon Society’s “Great Backyard Bird Count.” Children will have the opportunity to learn about birds they can find in their own backyards and make a bird guidebook.
While at the museum, don’t forget to browse in the store. The IMNH store offers a wide variety of unique gifts on subjects including dinosaurs, rocks, birds and flintknapping. Many of the items in the store are so unique that you just won’t find them anywhere else in town.
The Idaho Museum of Natural History is located at South Fifth Avenue and Dillon Street, on the campus of Idaho State University. Regular hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. For more information call Frank Spaeth at x6168.
