ISU-Idaho Falls’ Majors Fair April 4 to provide information for students, prospective students
March 15, 2007
The Idaho State University-Idaho Falls campus is helping its current and prospective students achieve their academic dreams by providing them with a majors fair on April 4 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Bennion Student Union Building on 1784 Science Center Drive.
Information about the many degree options available to them will be provided.
“The idea is to make prospective and current students feel more comfortable with what they want to do or to give them an idea of what they want to do,” said Barbara Kessel, an academic advisor on the Idaho Falls campus.
The event will feature representatives from all of the various colleges at ISU to answer questions that students may have about their major, or to help them discover a possible major. Current and prospective students may also have general questions such as admission, financial aid and career services answered.
“This event provides Idaho Falls' current and prospective students the opportunity to meet with a variety of advisors in one location,” said Kessel.
The fair is open to the public, including children, and there will be drawings for prizes every 20 minutes. Refreshments will be served.
“One way or another, we’re going to assist everyone who comes here,” said Kessel.
