ISU faculty and staff can meet candidates for vice president for research

The Idaho State University community will have the opportunity to meet the three finalists for the position of ISU vice president for research.
Dr. Billy C. Covington will be on campus Thursday, Feb. 8, and Friday, Feb. 9. An open-forum luncheon is scheduled Feb. 8 at noon in the Pond Student Union Building Wood River Room. All are invited. Covington is associate vice president for research and federal relations at Texas State University-San Marcos.
Dr. Gregory Patterson will be on campus Thursday, Feb. 15, and Friday, Feb. 16. An open-forum luncheon is scheduled Feb. 15 at noon, also in the PSUB Wood River Room. All are invited. Patterson is associate scientific director at the Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Lawrence Cornett will be on campus Tuesday, Feb. 20, and Wednesday, Feb. 21. There will be an open-forum luncheon on Feb. 21 at noon in the Roy F. Christensen Building (48), culinary arts dining area. All are invited to attend this luncheon as well. Cornett is professor of physiology and biophysics as well as director of the Arkansas Biosciences Institute and director of the Arkansas IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence.
