‘Homeless Awareness Night’ slated for ISU Quad March 30

Idaho State University Idaho Progressive Student Alliance will host the second annual “To the Streets: A Homeless Awareness Night” at 5 p.m. March 30 on the ISU Hutchinson Quadrangle.
This event is held to raise awareness of the issues the homeless in the Pocatello community face, bring the community together and raise funds and donations for Aid for Friends and the homeless shelter. Scheduled speakers include Eric Donelly and Tray Jones from California and music by Silent Tears, Lost Boys and others. The night includes a chili cook-off with prizes for first and second place.
The event is free to the public, but participants are encouraged to donate blankets, clothes, food, cash and personal hygiene products.
