The Idaho State University Janet C. Anderson Gender Resource Center invites the public to anonymously write their thoughts on womanhood on postcards for a special exhibit “Sincerely Yours” to be on display in the Transition Gallery at Idaho State University March 5-9 in celebration of Women’s History Month.

“Sincerely Yours” also will be displayed online in April.

Each postcard can be a regret, hope, funny experience, unseen kindness, fantasy, belief, fear, betrayal, feeling, confession or childhood memory. Limitations on the postcards are as follows: it must be true and deal with the experience of being a woman, wanting to be a woman, or it can reveal a thought or feeling a participant might have about women. Participants may create their own 4-by-6 inch postcards out of any material. Participants are encouraged to put each thought on a separate postcard and to put the complete image and thought on a single side of it.

Some tips for postcard writers: Be brief – the fewer words the better; be legible – use big, clear and bold lettering; be creative – remember the restraints are few, so make the most of it.

Participants may send their entry to: Sincerely Yours Art Exhibit, Anderson Gender Resource Center, 921 S. Eighth Ave., Stop 8141 Pocatello, ID 83209. Postcards should be postmarked by Feb. 18.
