ISU Women’s Club Holiday Fair set for Nov. 9
October 19, 2007
The Idaho State University Women’s Club will hold its annual Holiday Fair on Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the ISU Pond Student Union Building Ballroom. Fair proceeds go toward scholarships for ISU students.
The fair will feature more than 30 vendors selling handmade crafts, jewelry, pottery, woodwork, artwork, clothing and baked goods. Lunch will be available for purchase at the fair in the “Gourmet Corner” and will include enchiladas, breads, cookies, jams, desserts, drinks and more.
Fair-goers will be able to enter two raffles. One raffle will feature baskets created and donated by various campus departments. The baskets will contain a range of items including pet supplies, cooking supplies and children’s items. Also to be raffled is a mountain bike donated by the Eli M. Oboler Library staff. The staff won the bike as part of the Coca-Cola Bike to Work month in May.
A handmade quilt made by the ladies of the Women’s Club also will be auctioned off at the fair. The quilt will be on display in the Oboler Library, the College of Pharmacy Leonard Hall and outside the Office of the President in the Administration Building.
Limited parking will be available in the PSUB parking lot. Additional free parking will be available at the ISU Holt Arena with free buses that run to the PSUB every five to 10 minutes.
