Physician Assistant program sets open house Oct. 5, 2006
October 5, 2006
The Idaho State University Department of Physician Assistant Studies will host an informational open house from 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 5, 2006 on the second floor of the ISU Red Hill Building. Faculty and staff will be on hand to answer questions about their program from potential students and the community.
Physician assistants (PAs) are highly skilled health practitioners who work under physician supervision to provide patient-care services. PAs take complete medical histories, perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic studies, such as laboratory tests and x-rays, and diagnose and treat patients. PAs improve the accessibility of health care of underserved individuals in both urban and rural settings.
The Physician Assistant Program at Idaho State University is the only PA Program in Idaho.
