ISU to help teachers learn to use ‘virtual’ stock market game
September 21, 2006
Idaho State University will host a teacher-training workshop to instruct teachers on how to use a "virtual" stock-market game in the classroom. It is scheduled Oct. 6, at Century High School in Pocatello and is free for the first 1,000 teams to sign up.
"The Stock Market Game gives students the chance to invest a hypothetical $100,000 in a real-time portfolio," according to the Stock Market Web site www.stockmarketgame.org. "They think they are playing a game. You know they're learning economic and financial concepts they'll use for the rest of their lives."
