Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Navigate platform?

EAB describes itself as a “comprehensive student success management system designed to enhance retention and degree completion for Idaho State University” with the goal of “leveraging technology, research, and consulting to drive meaningful student success improvements.”

EAB is an industry leader in student success that currently works with more than 500 postsecondary institutions, and dozens of state institutions that are much like ISU. Navigate provides predictive analytics and early interventions for students, linking administrators, advisors, deans, faculty, other staff, and students through a single platform designed to allow for the proactive management of student success. With a click of a button, faculty will be able to notify an intervention team about students who need immediate assistance. Using the same platform, students will be able to gather information, tap into resources, and communicate with academic advisors and faculty.

How will this platform support retention efforts at ISU?

Student retention is a priority for Idaho State. Education has the power to transform lives, and it is our mission to create the opportunity for that transformation by supporting student success. To this end, Idaho State has invested in a powerful tool, the EAB Navigate platform, to help us identify support gaps and reach out proactively to and on behalf of students before they reach a critical impasse in their academic journey.
