Idaho State University-Meridian video instruction manager Jerry Jones has achieved the CompTIA A+ certification awarded by the Computing Technology Industry Association, an international organization of information technology professionals and companies.
The ANSI/ISO/IEC-accredited A+ credential is the gold standard for IT support specialists and covers the fundamentals of computer hardware, troubleshooting, networking, security and mobile devices. Jones is the only university technician in Idaho to hold the CompTIA A+ credential concurrently with the CTS audiovisual technology certification from InfoComm International.
Jones, who joined ISU in 2006, operates and maintains distance learning technology for the Department of Physician Assistant Studies at the ISU-Meridian Health Science Center.
