February 24, 2014
The Idaho Counseling Association has honored Dr. Elizabeth Horn with the “Pass it on Baton” award from her advocacy work in the counseling profession. The association says her efforts have had a “positive impact for counselors on a state and national level.”
Horn, who joined the university 7 ½ years ago, is an assistant counseling professor at the ISU-Meridian Health Science Center. She holds a Ph.D. from Texas A&M-Commerce, and a master’s degree from Sam Houston State University. Her areas of specialty include grief and mental health counseling.
The ICA is an organization of counseling and human development professionals who work in education, health care, residential treatment, private practice, government and business. The organization announced the award earlier this month.
