Idaho State University Division of Health Sciences to hold Research Symposium on March 14

The Idaho State University Division of Health Sciences Research Symposium on the theme of “Research Paradigms: Spanning the Spectrum” will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.,
Friday, March 14 in the Pond Student Union in Pocatello and at the ISU-Meridian Health Science Center, 1311 E. Central Drive.
Sessions will originate from Meridian and Pocatello and will be telecast to audiences at both locations.
The symposium will feature keynote speaker C. Scott Smith, who will present his discussion “The Importance of Research for Better Health Outcomes, Education and Policy” at 8:30 a.m. Smith is the co-director of the Center of Excellence in Primary Care Education at the Boise Veterans Administration Medical Center.
Registration is from 8 to 8:30 a.m. There will be six podium presentations from 10:15 a.m. to noon. From 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. there will be poster presentations, followed by opportunities for students to participate in inter-professional education opportunities at a variety of student platforms. Light refreshments will be served at the morning break.
