Meridian's health care industry is a hot job market

Idaho State University-Meridian Health Science Center graduates, Sophia Nyswyn and Randy Rostock, are featured in an article in the Aug. 23 issue of Meridian Press about the growth of health care jobs in Meridian. Nyswyn, employed by St. Luke's Health System Mountain States Urolo
is a graduate of the physician assistant studies program. Rostock is a clinical pharmacist with St. Luke's Meridian Medical Center.
The article states health care jobs pay an average annual salary of $57,670 and are growing at a faster rate than most jobs in southwest Idaho. The story also highlights ISU-Meridian's plan to build anatomy and physiology laboratories on campus, and ISU's role in development of The CORE, a coalition that exists to strengthen Idaho's medical and technology industries.
