ISU-Meridian’s David Talford and Jared Papa to present at international conference in Czech Republic

ISU-Meridian’s David Talford and Jared Papa will be in Prague, Czech Republic, Aug. 25-28, to deliver a presentation at an international conference for medical educators, Aug. 25-28.
Talford is graduate project coordinator and a clinical associate professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies. Papa is service learning coordinator and a physician assistant clinical assistant professor.
The conference is hosted by the Association for Medical Education in Europe or AMEE, an international association for medical education founded in 1972. Members include educators, researchers, administrators, curriculum developers, assessors and students in medicine and the healthcare professions. Educators from more than 100 countries are expected to attend the August conference.
Papa and Talford’s presentation is titled “Application of efficient instruction of medical curriculum across multiple geographic locations in times of limited resources.” Using ISU as an example, they will discuss how universities can maximize exiting resources to ensure quality health professions education at affiliate campuses.
