Communities and KCHP: Advancing Idaho Health Care Together is the theme of the annual Idaho State University Kasiska College of Health Professions Research Day, Friday, April 9, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Pocatello and Meridian.

Health care providers, ISU faculty, students and the public are invited to the event which will feature presentations on numerous research topics, including tobacco use among Hispanic teens; alcohol consumption and postmenopausal women; children and cochlear implants; and food allergies in south Idaho restaurants.
Activities will be held in the Pond Student Union and at the ISU-Meridian Health Science Center, 1311 E. Central Drive, just north of I-84 between Eagle and Meridian roads. Sessions will be broadcast simultaneously using distance-learning technology.
This is the 21st Research Day on the Pocatello campus and the third in the Treasure Valley. The event is an opportunity for faculty, staff, students and health-care partners to showcase research they’re conducting at regional, national and international levels and to encourage collaboration among disciplines, said Talford, a research committee member and clinical assistant professor in the Physician Assistant Studies Program at ISU-Meridian.
