Where Green Meets Orange

 

Thanks to generous gifts from the Jack and Mary Lois Wheatley family, partnerships with the community and a hard-working landscaping crew, the Idaho State University campus has transformed in recent years with the addition of hundreds of new trees, beautifully designed flower beds and new gathering places for students and the community.

478 Trees Planted Since 2010, 2,500 trees on the Pocatello campus, over 825000 dollars donated for campus beautification by the Jack and Mary Lois Wheatley Family

1100 total acres, 115 acres of maintained turf, 13 full-time employees, over 8600 sprinkler heads, 69 master supply valves for irrigation, 62 irrigation control clocks, 739 electric and manual control valves

46 acres of parking lots plowed in winter, 25 acres of sidewalks and stairs to remove snow, over 8000 annual flowers, over 10,000 perennials and shrubs planted since 2012, 20,350 bulbs planted since 2012, 60 varieties, 6.4 acres of maintained planter beds
