While Idaho State continuously strives to provide a transformational educational journey for students during their time at ISU, the last several years have been particularly evolutionary for a number of other reasons as well. Leveraging continued and new donor support, capital improvement commitments, deferred maintenance funding and record enrollment numbers, ISU has launched into a season of growth across many sectors. It isn’t hard to see how the physical campus has changed in recent years, and if you look closely, you can envision future growth as well.
2020 - Davis Field $17.1 million renovation to improve seating, widen soccer field, modify track geometry to increase speed, add lights and video scoreboard
May 2023 - The newly constructed ICCU Bengal Alumni Center opened after decades of fundraising and planning, thanks to generous contributions from alumni, community members and Idaho Central Credit Union
2023-2025 - Leonard Hall’s lab and classroom spaces get a $21 million makeover, $14 million from the ALSAM Foundation for state of the art technology and student learning spaces to modernize the facility

2024 - Library - The first floor has been transformed into an inclusive environment that fosters student engagement and a culture of learning. By removing walls and enhancing natural light, the space now promotes openness and accessibility, aligning with the library's mission as a hub for collaboration and knowledge. The new layout includes an open floor plan with lounge-style seating, computer stations and media equipment to boost creativity, academic exploration, and collaborative student study.
2024 - Steam tunnels - Engineered Structures, Inc. (ESI) has been trenching for new power conduits so the high voltage lines inside existing steam tunnels can be removed to enhance worker safety. The project includes upgrades to improve the aesthetics, safety and functionality for ISU’s heating systems.
