Lori Austill, M.S.Ed.
Senior Instructional Technologist
Lori Austill works with the ITRC team to encourage faculty to try new tools and to support their teaching goals. She assists educators with weaving sound technology and educational principles into their online course materials. Lori also teaches workshops, writes a bi-monthly blog on educational technologies, and researches and shares current technologies and teaching methods with the faculty and staff at ISU. In addition to her full-time responsibilities, Lori teaches several College Learning Strategies courses for ISU as an adjunct instructor and facilitates online workshops for Quality Matters.
Lori’s education includes an A.S. in office management from Northwest College, a B.S.L.S. in mass communication and public relations from Montana State University, and an M.S.Ed. in Instructional Technology from the University of Wyoming. She is currently working toward her doctorate in Adult and Postsecondary Education Leadership.
Lori believes that we never stop learning and that teaching people how to use technology is secondary to instilling in them a love for learning and the self-confidence to overcome whatever obstacle may come their way in their quest for knowledge and in living life to its fullest potential.
