Address Reporting

Immigration regulations at 8 CFR 214.2(f)(17) requires all international students to "inform the DSO and the Service of any legal changes to his or her name or of any change of address, within 10 days of the change, in a manner prescribed by the school".  This applies to all current F-1 and J-1 international students in the U.S. as well as those on post-completion OPT.

Your RESIDES AT (RA) ADDRESS

The manner ISU has prescribed for notifying us of your address changes is by adding and maintaining your RESIDES AT (RA) address through MyISU.  This RA address in MyISU is used to update the Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and must be kept up-to-date. This address must be your current physical address, not a mailing address. No PO Boxes allowed. If you do not currently have an RA address, please add it now.  If you have one that is out-of-date, please update it now.  Having a mailing (MA) address is not sufficient.  You must submit a RESIDES AT (RA) address.

IMPORTANT: We cannot report your current registration in SEVIS for the current semester unless this address is up-to-date!

2. Look for and click on the "Personal Information Self Service" link under Student Records or Personal Information
   
   
   
3. This page shows your current addresses. Edit one of the current addresses or select "Add New" to choose an address to add. Remember, the Resides At address is the one used for SEVIS, so if you don't see a Resides At address, please add it!
