Our Idaho AHEC Centers

The Idaho AHEC Program Office supports four Area Health Education Centers through statewide collaborations, the creation of strategic partnerships, and program evaluation and reporting. Our centers join a cadre of 300 AHECs across the nation whose members work to recruit, train, and retain health professionals to work in rural and underserved communities.

Idaho AHEC focuses on four core activities: AHEC Scholars, Continuing Education, Pathways and Pipeline Projects, and Community-Based Experiential Training.

This project is/was supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under grant number U7746221, for the Idaho Area Health Education (Idaho AHEC) Program Office and its four regional Centers in the total amount of $732,316 for the 2024-2025 fiscal year (with a 1:1 total match of $732,316 from non-federally funded governmental sources).
