COP Spaghetti Feed
The College of Pharmacy's 26th Annual Spaghetti Feed is coming up soon in Pocatello. This event has become quite the tradition for the College and is an opportunity for the community to gather with student pharmacists to enjoy delicious food and lots of fun. It is also an important fundraiser to ensure College of Pharmacy students have the tools they need for a variety of community health outreach programs throughout the year. As with years past, a portion of the proceeds from the Spaghetti Feed will go towards making a dream come true for a local Make-a-Wish Idaho child.
This year's event is Friday, February 22nd at 6 p.m. at the Pond Student Union Ballroom in Pocatello. There will be a spaghetti dinner, raffle, silent auction and trivia.
Every year, College of Pharmacy students provide flu shots, health screenings and health information to their community. Events like the Spaghetti Feed help provide the students with the materials they need. Last year, the American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) of Idaho State University received a national award from the American Pharmacists Association for their work in providing vaccinations and information about immunizations to the community. In addition to Operation Immunization, other outreach efforts include Operation Heart, Operation Diabetes and Generation Rx (an educational program that aims to increase public awareness of prescription drug abuse).
Admission to the Spaghetti Feed is $6 per person or $20 for a family of four. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the event. More info can be found by visiting http://bit.ly/CoP_SpaghettiFeed_2019
