Accelerated Programs
Get on the fast track to your ISU graduate degree, from a Bachelor's to a Master's in a shorter amount of time and for a lower cost!
Available Accelerated Programs
Participation in an accelerated program allows undergraduate students to take a maximum of 12 credits of Idaho State University graduate-level coursework as part of their undergraduate curriculum, and those credits will count towards both their bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Students must still earn 120 credits to graduate with an undergraduate degree from Idaho State University and must complete a minimum of 30 credits of graduate work to earn a master's degree.
- Step 1: Students must be formally approved by their departments to pursue an Accelerated Program. See your Undergraduate program advisor for details.
- Step 2: Registration for graduate coursework, while an undergraduate, will occur manually between the program director, the Graduate School, and the Registrar’s office.
- Step 3: Apply to the Graduate School for the specific graduate program in the students’ 4th year. Once accepted into the graduate program, register for graduate courses upon the start of the registration term dates.
See the full Accelerated Programs policy for more details.
Please be aware that some financial aid, scholarships, and grants may be affected once you begin registering for graduate-level credits. We strongly encourage you to consult with the financial aid office to ensure that your financial aid remains intact during this process.
