As a Graduate Program Manager, Amanda oversees programs in the College of Education, the College of Pharmacy, the School of Nursing, and the School of Rehabilitation and Communication Sciences. She is also the co-lead for event planning and coordination for the Graduate School, i.e., Graduate New Student Orientation, the Graduate Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition, and the Research and Creative Works Symposium.

Full Bio

Prior to joining the Graduate School, Amanda taught public speaking and advertising courses in ISU’s Communication, Media, and Persuasion department, first as a graduate teaching assistant (2017 – 2019) and then as a full-time Assistant Lecturer (2019 – 2024).

For over eight years Amanda worked for a national health insurance company in a variety of capacities, primarily in the areas of advertising, marketing, and corporate communication. She then moved to Hawai’i where she worked for a custom home builder as a marketing specialist, and as a middle school paraprofessional working with special education students.

Amanda’s extensive professional experience is complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Communication with an emphasis in Advertising and a minor in Marketing, and a Master’s degree in Communication, with an emphasis in Corporate Communication.
