The Faculty Professional Policies Council (FPPC) is a sub-council of the Faculty Senate and reports directly to Faculty Senate. The Faculty Senate is responsible for submitting and reviewing Idaho State University (ISU) Policies and Procedures that affect faculty welfare. The purpose of the Faculty Professional Policies Council is to provide focused and timely support for Senate by drafting, reviewing, and revising such policies. Areas of faculty welfare include, but are not limited to, faculty employment and retention, salary and other compensations, and appeals and grievances. Policies that this council may address are related to academic freedom and due process; appointment, reappointment, non-reappointment, and termination; tenure and promotion; sabbatical leave; emeritus/emerita status; consulting, faculty professional recognition and development; State Board of Education legislative policies; or other proposals affecting faculty welfare.
