ISUF Legal Counsel
Brad Hall, an attorney with the firm of Merrill & Merrill in Pocatello, has more than 30 years’ experience in the legal profession. He received his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Utah and his law degree from the University of Idaho, with additional study in the Asian Law Program of the University of Washington School of Law. He is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of Idaho.
His legal work experience includes: service as a deputy prosecuting attorney; Deputy Attorney General assigned to the State Superintendent of Public Instruction; private practice with Lojek & Hall of Boise, Idaho; Chief Legal Officer & Deputy Attorney General, State Board of Education; General Counsel and Risk Manager, ISU; and, private legal and risk management consulting. He taught several university-level courses in law-related topics at Boise State University, College of Idaho, and ISU. He co-authored a textbook tiled, “Legal Issues in Career and Technical Education” (American Technical Publishers).
Hall served as a member of the Pocatello Sister Cities-Japan Committee, led a youth delegation to Iwamizawa, Japan, and participated as a member of an adult delegation in 2015. He is also a member of the Idaho State-Civic Symphony Board of Directors. Hall was recently recognized at the President’s Donor Recognition Dinner for his long-time support of the I Love ISU Scholarship campaign.
