The purpose of the First Gens Student Association shall be to work to be a resource for first-generation college students and TRIO students at Idaho State University.

The First-Gen Club aims to:

  • Inform ISU first generation college students and TRIO students about the many resources the university has to offer.
  • Mentor TRIO College students.
  • Participate in service learning projects.
  • Participate in the National First Generation College Celebration annually on November 8th.

Learn More About First Gen Club

As a first-gen club we help students get more resources and provide them in the right path. First gen students get confused as no one in their family has gone to college, making it difficult to get help.

We share same challenges and struggles as a first generation college student and this club can help provide help, fun events, and more!
