Zachary Swick, Ph.D
Zachary is actively engaged in the field of homeland security and emergency management. Zachary is an experienced emergency preparedness planner at the Oregon Office of Emergency Management and the National Incident Management System (NIMS) Program Coordinator for the State of Oregon. He has played an active role in the State’s Emergency Coordination Center (ECC) during various disasters. Zachary is also an experienced disaster researcher focused on disaster preparedness, resilience, and bridging the knowledge gap between academic research and real-world practice. He is a published author in peer-reviewed academic journals on studies encompassing emergency management, bioterrorism readiness, business continuity, and pandemic preparedness. In addition to teaching courses at Idaho State University, Zachary also taught HSEM courses at Concordia University,
