Office: Transportation Security Administration’s Assistant Federal Security Director for Regulatory Compliance for the State of Oregon
David Ferguson is the Transportation Security Administration’s Assistant Federal Security Director for Regulatory Compliance for the State of Oregon. Dave is also the Chair of the Oregon Federal Executive Board (OFEB). The OFEB’s mission is to improve coordination among federal activities and programs. Dave came to TSA in August 2008 after a 17-year career with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, where his last position was as the Area Port Director in Portland, Oregon. He began his career as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army’s Military Police Corps. His Army experience included four years of active duty with assignments in Northern California and the Republic of South Korea and an additional seven years of reserve service with a Civil Affairs Brigade. In 2003, the creation of the DHS and CBP allowed Dave to lead the merger of former INS, U.S. Customs, and USDA employees into “One Face at the Border” and a unified workforce.
