Alumni and Friends
The Department of English and Philosophy has offered the B.A. since 1951 (English) and 1958 (Philosophy) and graduate training in English for over a half century, with the M.A. established in 1960, the D.A. in 1971, and the Ph.D. in 2009. We are proud of our over 1,300 alumni who have gone on to careers in education, government and nonprofits, and business and industry. We welcome, too, friends of the department who have an enduring interest in the humanities.
Here you can link to information about featured alumni, read our newsletter, update your information, and donate to the department. We enjoy hearing about your experiences and achievements and hope you will keep in touch. Your stories are inspiring to our current students, and we want to help you share them.
