Chemical and Research activities generate a variety of regulated wastes. 

Regulations regarding the management and disposal of regulated waste vary greatly depending on the waste characteristics, volume, and management method.  Compliance with regulated waste requirements is strictly enforced by regulatory agencies.

ISU has established a comprehensive regulated waste program to ensure wastes generated from chemical and research activities are managed and disposed in a safe, compliant, and environmental sound manner.  Refer to the ISU Environmental Program for details regarding proper management and disposal of regulated wastes.
