Cybersecurity Education Opportunities

Idaho State University is a federally designated Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense, a designation it has proudly held since 1998.

Idaho State University offers two cybersecurity programs of study:

  • Industrial Cybersecurity
    • In this hands-on program students learn to defend the critical systems that control the power grid, gasoline pipelines, and manufacturing facilities
    • Students can earn an Associate of Applied Science, or an Intermediate Technical Certificate from ISU’s College of Technology
    • Credentials can be stacked together to earn a Bachelor of Applied Science in Cyber-Physical Systems

In addition, Idaho State University is pleased to offer the National Science Foundation (NSF) Scholarship for Service (SFS) through its NIATEC edu-professional experience. This experience covers tuition, books, and living expenses for high achieving students who commit to work for the federal government for two years immediately following their graduation.
