
Student Occupational Therapy Association
The mission statement of this organization shall be to promote public awareness of occupational therapy, to enhance the quality of the student's educational experience through local and national advocacy, community service, and professional development.
The objectives of this organization shall be as follows:
1. To represent and unite all Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) students at ISU.
2. To provide for and enhance communication between OTA students at ISU and the state and national organizations, respectively Idaho Occupational Therapy Association (IOTA) and American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
3. To enhance communications between OTA students at ISU with other OT and OTA students on the local, state, and national levels.
4. To assist in broadening the academic and professional activities of the OTA students at ISU.
5. To provide time and/or money for at least one community service project per 16-week semester.
6. To raise funds so that active members may be assisted in joining their state or national organizations and attend state of national conferences.
