Jeff Mansfield is the Public Works Director and City Engineer for the City of Pocatello. He has been employed with City of Pocatello since 2014. As the Public Works Director, he oversees the Wastewater, Water, Streets, Sanitation, Engineering/GIS, Science and Environment, and Fleet departments. He is currently serving as the President of the Association of Idaho Public Works Professional (AIPWP) and is an Idaho delegate for the American Public Works Association (APWA) Rocky Mountain Chapter. He has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Idaho State University and a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University. Before starting with the City, Jeff worked as a private consultant for 12 years, primarily working with municipal clients throughout Idaho. Jeff has extensive experience in municipal project design, construction, management and funding.
Jeff also served for 23 years in the Air Force Reserves, where he retired as a Senior Master
Sergeant and the Superintendent of the Engineering Flight. His service provided opportunities to complete engineering and construction projects throughout the world, including a deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Jeff grew up on a ranch near Lava Hot Springs. He moved to Pocatello in 1993 to attend college and has been there ever since. He is married and has three adult children, two of which are married. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with family. He enjoys finding creative solutions to complex problems. He loves being involved in public works and seeing the positive impacts it has in the everyday lives of people around him.
