Per Adam Bradford, Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, no courses will be taught in ISU Canvas until August 2025. Absolutely no students will be using ISU Canvas before August 2025, with no exceptions.
- 24/7 Support: Use the Help menu in ISU Canvas to access the Support Hotline or Chat.
- ITRC Support: Chat with the ITRC via the Help & Training menu (M-Th 8 AM–7 PM; F 8 AM–5 PM).
- Drop-in Sessions: Join Curious About Canvas? Zoom sessions on Mondays and Thursdays at 2 PM.
- Knowledge Base: Explore ISU-focused articles, videos, and resources in the Canvas Knowledge Base Articles.
- ISU Canvas Access: Faculty can access ISU Canvas on the Canvas Transition website. Links to ISU Canvas will be added to MyISU and the Quicklinks when ISU Canvas is open for both students and faculty.
- Courses in Canvas: Request sandbox courses via the Canvas: Sandbox Request Form after completing the ISU Canvas Faculty Essentials course.
- Moodle Migration: Export content from Moodle, import it into Canvas, and review for accuracy. Use the Preparing Your Moodle ISU Course to Import into Canvas and Import Moodle Content into Canvas Course guides.
- Moodle Access: Faculty will still have access to Moodle ISU courses from Fall 2021–Fall 2024 after the transition to ISU Canvas.
- Content Accuracy: Approximately 60% of Moodle courses import well. Migrate essential, up-to-date courses and refer to the Moodle → Canvas guide.
- Third-Party Tools: Check Canvas Integrations of External Apps for existing tools or submit requests via the Canvas Integrations of External Apps Request Form.
- Sharing Content: Share individual items or entire courses using the export and import features in Canvas.
- Adding Users: Submit the Canvas: Add Individual / Change Role Request Form to add instructors or TAs. No students will be in ISU Canvas until Fall 2025.
- Canvas Templates: Use Canvas Frameworks for pre-built templates and tools to streamline course design and setup.
- Course Evaluations: Academic Affairs is currently reviewing the course evaluation process. Updates will be shared as soon as a decision is made.
