Hispanic Heritage Month 2024
We are kicking off the month on September 19th with the Sador De Herencia: Pathways to Success in the SUB Wood River Room at 10am. During this event you can expect to hear from and network with Hispanic professionals. They will be talking about their pathways to success and how they overcame their obstacles.

Later that night from 6-8 head over to the Bengal Cafe for a Frida Kahlo Paint Night with the SACNAS.
Volunteers are needed for HYLS, Hispanic Youth Leadership Summit, on September 24th.
Then Thursday, September 26th 11:30 am join CAMP students in playing Kahoot at Sigue el Camino con CAMP: Hispanic Heritage Kahoot. In the main TRIO and CAMP office room 446 in the Museum Building.
Every Tuesday in October at 6:30 watch 5 thought-provoking films with English subtitles during the Hispanic Heritage Film Festival.
October 3rd attend the Salsa Competition in the SUB Wood River Room from 5-6:30. To enter the competition check out TRIO and CAMP Social media. Tasting is open to the public so come and enjoy the salsa and good times for just $5.
Then we will be wrapping up the month with Dr. Eveyln Alvarez on October 10th at 1pm in REND ABC Suite. Meet Dr. Alvarez, an environmental health scientist and assistant professor at CAL State, LA and hear about her journey to higher education.
After the fun at the Salsa Competition join us at the Latin Dance & Cookout at 6 in the Physical Science Building Room 220.
