Powerful, smart, ethical argument is the hallmark of the world of persuasion. This course is designed to explore the
essentials of persuasion and conclude with a “Persuade Us” activity guaranteed to bring creativity, reason, and evidence together to create laughs and learning. This short course delivers tactics and tools aimed at transforming average speaking into smart and persuasive messaging.
“I Wonder What It’s Like…”
Members of the ISU Rupp Debate Squad, together with a member of the debate faculty, will be glad to provide an
exhibition debate for your class, or in partnership with your class. The squad is readily available to help with IPDA,
British Parliamentary, and Public Forum debating skills and strategies at any time. Additionally, the squad and coach will be pleased to participate in an open discussion about preparing for many aspects of the collegiate speech and debate experience at Idaho State University and beyond.
