  • Please ensure you give yourself enough time to work with Kaylee and get the design approved. We recommend a minimum of two weeks.

To submit an announcement to Idaho State Today, Roar Weekly, or social media, please use ISU’s Content Submission Form and select “Campus Announcement.” The form will prompt you to select which methods of distribution are most appropriate for your submission. Please include all necessary information in your submission to streamline the process, including dates, times, and links.

How to Distribute a News Release

  1. Use the news release template in Google Docs to compile the content. Be sure to include contact information for the media if they have follow-up questions.

  2. Go to the Content Submission Form and select the “News Release” option. Link your news release Google Doc in the form. 

  3. The Office of Marketing and Communications will review the content, schedule the news release, and disseminate it to the media.

  4. Pictures are highly recommended. There is a section on the Content Submission Form for you to add a photo file.

To request help with creating social media posts and/or to request that CAL shares a post you have created, please contact Kaylee McKay at kayleemckay@isu.edu.

  • Please note that CAL only shares social media posts that adhere to ISU brand guidelines. We are happy to help you ensure your posts are branded correctly.
  • We recommend one week minimum advanced notice to allow us time to create and/or approve a post.

Submit to the ISU calendar

Please submit all your events to the main ISU calendar.
 
Your department page calendar feed
When submitting a calendar event to the ISU calendar there is an "Event Details" section. Please make a note at the bottom of this section about who the event is put on by and please always include CAL in every department event so it feeds into our CAL calendar.

Ex: Put on by History, CAL event
Please add a note with each calendar submission that includes CAL
 
Social media sharing to main ISU pages
Niquelle can share events on ISU's social media. If your event is open to the campus community and/or the public (and not just for internal departmental audience) please send it to Niquelle.
