College of Arts & Letters Welcomes Two New Staff Members in the Dean’s Office
The College of Arts & Letters is excited to introduce two new members of the dean’s office staff, Holly Kartchner and Matthew Stucki.
Kartncher has been selected to serve as Director of Outreach and Retention. She will take on the vital responsibilities of building and strengthening relationships with high school students and staff in the area and broader region. She will oversee the continuation of initiatives such as on-campus dual-enrollment, Liberal Arts High and Road Scholars, and will look to establish other recruitment and student retention initiatives and strategies.
Kartchner has degrees in speech communication, social studies, political science, and history, a master’s degree from ISU and service as an ISU adjunct instructor. Her work as a teacher at Blackfoot High School and Independence Alternative High School are clear evidence of her passion for and commitment to students in Southeast Idaho. We are very fortunate to have her as part of our team.
Stucki will fill the role of Director of Development for the college. Stucki grew up in Pocatello and received his bachelor’s degree in management from ISU. As a student, he played on the men’s basketball team and then went on to play professionally in Europe. He received his law degree from University of Idaho and worked at Racine, Olson, Nye, & Budge in Pocatello. We are confident that his focus on estate planning and probate in his legal practice, as well as his knowledge of and commitment to ISU and this community, will serve him well in spearheading development efforts on behalf of CAL.
Kartchner can be reached at (208) 282-5362 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Stucki can be reached at (208) 282-1421 or email@example.com.
