ISU English Major Andrea King Authors Book for Bingham County Historical Museum

Congratulations to Andrea King who recently published a book for The Bingham County Historical Museum in Blackfoot, Idaho.

An English major who will graduate with her BA this December, King was hired by the Museum in summer 2024 to research and write a book about the John Brown Mansion, which is also home to the Museum. 

On Thursday, November 7, 2024, the Museum held an open house to celebrate King's work and to allow visitors to tour the beautifully preserved mansion. The mansion was built in 1905 by Augustus Solomon Whiteway and Warren Hilbert Hicks and designed by architect J. Flood Walker.

King says that she "learned so much about archival research and professional writing" during this internship and is excited to see her work in print.
