Idaho State speaker takes third, receives top honors for speaking ability

ABILENE, Texas – Idaho State University’s Joseph Tyler argued his way to top speaker and third-place varsity speaker Dec. 5 and 6 at the second annual Joseph Cardot Invitational hosted by Abilene Christian University. Tyler delivered an impressive 236 speaker points out of a maximum possible total of 240.

POCATELLO – Over 220-million-years-ago, burrowed deep in the ground of what is now Arizona’s Petrified Forest National Park, lived the Skybalonyx. Though the Skybalonyx predates most dinosaurs, it was only recently discovered by Xavier Jenkins, an Idaho State University biological sciences doctoral student.
