Department News

Dr. Pete Sheridan, Professor of ISU Biological Sciences, teams up with researchers to prevent mold occurring on stored potatoes and other crops. Read about it here.

Dr. Keith Reinhardt, Assistant Professor of ISU Biological Sciences, contributed to and co-authored a paper published in The Journal Nature Ecology and Evolution about what kills trees during drought. The paper received wide spread attention. Read about it here.

Dr. Janet Loxterman, Associate Professor and Assistant Chair of ISU Biological Sciences will present a Scholarly Lecture, “Genetic Tools for Species Conservation,” Thursday, October 26, 2017, in Salmon River Suite, Pond Student Union at 7 p.m. This lecture is sponsored by The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi Chapter #110 Idaho State University.

Seminars

Dr. Ben Abbott, Assistant Professor of Plant and Wildlife Sciences Department, Brigham Young University, will present a seminar, “Unexpected spatial stability of water chemistry in headwater stream networks,” Thursday, October 5, 2017, in Lecture Center 10 at 4 p.m.

Dr. Zhao Ma, will present a seminar, “Ecosystem Services,” Tuesday, October 17, 2017, in Liberal Arts 324 at 4 p.m.

Ruth MacNeille, DA graduate student with Dr. Kitty Lohse, will present her proposal seminar, “Transformation and Transportation in Shifting Landscapes: Exploring Patterns in Streams and Education,” Thursday, October 19, 2017, in Lecture Center 10 at noon.

Payroll Information

Our pay period ends Saturday, October 7. Please be sure to submit your time by Monday, October 9 at noon. This gives your approver time to approve your time card and fix any problems by Tuesday, October 10 when time cards are due to Payroll.
