Letter from the President

At Idaho State University, our students are our greatest asset. Recently I had the pleasure of shaking the hands of our newest alumni Bengals as they cross the commencement stage to enter a new chapter in life.

I know that these students will make a difference in the world as they leave ISU, because they are already making a difference while they are here. Bengals are diverse —our students come from all ages and walks of life, and hail from more than 50 countries and over 40 states. But as a united Bengal community, we work hard to make sure we are changing our part of the world for the better.

This spring, students, faculty and staff from the College of Arts and Letters and the Saudi Student Association hosted a day of service, where they volunteered at the Idaho Foodbank for a day. Our Kappa Kappa Sigma fraternity hosted a 24 hour bike ride to raise money for Fisher House, which serves veterans and their families who need extended service at Veteran Affair hospitals. Our students volunteer at Benny’s Pantry, the university’s own food pantry, and at schools and community agencies across the state.

I want to congratulate all of our newest graduates on their achievements. I know you will make us proud.

Go Bengals!
