Programs and Events

AC@IS offers several opportunities throughout the year for our professional and faculty advisors.

The Advisor Spotlight program allows us to learn more about individual advisors across campus and discuss hot topics and challenges in advisingThe conversations humanize us as advisors, allowing for discussion and building connections and rapport.

The spotlight conversations take place during the Advisor Meetings throughout the semester. A pre-selected advisor answers questions to share more about their background. After the Q&A, that advisor then poses a question to the larger group for discussion.

Membership in AC@IS is not required to attend the Advisor Meetings. Contact the Office of Academic Advising for more details or if you'd like to be included in the meeting invitation.
