About Academic Affairs
The Office of Academic Affairs serves as the Office of the Provost. The Provost oversees ISU’s day-to-day operations and advanced academics.
Dr. Adam Bradford is ISU’s Interim Provost since 2023.
The mission of the Office of the Provost is to provide leadership, support, and advocacy to the colleges and other academic units, to ensure quality and innovation in institutional planning and effectiveness, academic programming at all levels, faculty research and creative endeavors, student support, and outreach activities throughout the state.

Dr. Adam Bradford was named Idaho State University's Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs July 1, 2023
As the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, he is the Chief Academic Officer of the University
The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs has oversight of units that directly impact instructional, academic and research programs. This includes the following administrative units:
- outreach campuses/centers
- libraries
- divisions, institutes, centers, and colleges
In addition, the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs develops and assures compliance with administrative directives that support the mission of the University
Bradford is responsible for ISU’s regional accreditation by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities
Bradford served diligently as The Dean of the Grad School prior to being named as the Interim Provost of Academic Affairs
